After highly successful pop-up events in NY in September and October (and hot on the heels of pop-up events in San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, Miami and Austin), the Cheeses of Europe will return to NY on Friday, November 21st! The event, which is open to the public, will be held at the new French Cheese Board space, and cheese companies from France will offer samples of more than twenty different types of cheeses. Additional highlights will include the debut of a new photo exhibit showcasing milk by famed photographer Colombe Clier, cooking demos by Top Chef France contestant Valentin Néraudeau, pours of wines to accompany the cheese samples, cheeses for sale at special prices, and educational presentations by each of the attending cheese companies.
The photo exhibit LAC by French photographer Colombe Clier will make its American debut at the French Cheese Board during the NY pop-up event. The LAC collection reimagines classic still-life paintings such as The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci and The Milkmaid by Johannes Vermeer, and modernizes them through styling and the choice of models while retaining the essence of the original composition.
Valentin Neraudeau, chef-owner of Carre Rouge in Toulouse, and contestant on Top Chef France in 2013, will be leading various cooking demonstrations throughout the day.
Representatives from the Cheeses of France Marketing Council will be traveling from Paris to attend the event, and will be present to answer any questions attendees may have about the cheeses.
