This time, Anna selected four different rosés to pair with seven French cheeses:
M. Chapoutier Belleruche Côtes du Rhône Rosé 2021 paired with Le Roulé (a hand-rolled cow’s milk cheese with garlic and herbs from the Vosges), and Feta-style Valbreso (a fresh sheep’s milk cheese from Occitanie).
Mathilde Chapoutier Grand Ferrage Côtes de Provence Rosé 2021 with St-Nectaire (a washed-rind cow’s milk cheese from Auvergne), and Comté (a raw cow’s milk cheese from the Jura Mountains).
Mathilde Chapoutier Grand Ferrage Sainte-Victoire Côtes de Provence 2021 paired with Ossau Iraty (a sheep’s milk cheese from the Basque region), and Fourme d’Ambert (a cow’s milk blue cheese from Auvergne).
Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Rosé Sauvage NV paired with a buttery triple cream from the Champagne region – our favorite of the evening!
“We overall played with the different cheese textures to figure out what pairing works best. We always have a fantastic time at the French Cheese Board.” – Anna M. Viducic
Some pairings were better than others but everything was so delicious!
Thanks to our wonderful guests for showing up and sharing a great time with us!
