It is not the first time that the French Cheese Board organizes a Whisky and Cheese pairing, but it is however the first time that both products are French!
On Thursday the 7th, the whole team of the French Cheese Board was delighted to welcome Rozelieures to one of its events. This French Whisky company produces exceptional liquors and, combined with some of the finest cheeses the French Terroir has to offer, it delighted the taste buds of the guests present that night.
The French Cheese Board and Rozelieures treated the lucky guests with different pairings. The opening one was a Tomme Pinot Gris matched with a Single Malt Rare Collection, two products natives of the same region of France, the Lorraine. It was followed by a Chabichou du Poitou and a Single Malt Origin Collection, and then by a Bleu d’Auvergne and a Single Malt Peated Collection. The strength of this classic French blue cheese was an asset, as the whisky’s powerful and well-balanced flavor needed a cheese as intense as it is to create a delicious match. Finally, to finish the night on a note of delightful robustness, the last pairing was a Single Malt Smoked Collection and an Epoisses.
Once again the event was a big success as both Whiskies and Cheeses hit the spots and the guests enjoyed excellent food and liquor pairings for the rest of the night.Share:
